WHAT WE DO

While the most recognizable role of NGSL is facilitating a law school-specific softball league, its true mission goes well beyond the softball field. Softball serves as a conduit through which students build community and relationships with one another that transcend the classroom, and ultimately transcend our three years in Charlottesville. To that end, NGSL is committed to building community not only through softball, but through other events throughout the year as well. A collection of the things that NGSL does every year to promote this mission is provided below.

While NGSL does not only do softball, it obviously plays an important and fundamental role to the organization. Every year, NGSL organizes the fall and spring intramural softball seasons, provides umpires, and helps to maintain the softball fields, ensuring a safe and fun environment for students to enjoy.

Dandelion Parade

A cherished tradition every fall at UVA Law, NGSL organizes the Dandelion Parade: A friendly competition in which incoming students get to show off their dance moves.

Feb Club

Yet another cherished tradition at UVA Law, NGSL organizes the annual Feb Club. Organizations take turns hosting themed events throughout the month of February.
