Columbia Co-Rec 3Ls
New York, New York

Pod Games:
vs. Michigan Blue @ Sat 9am, McIntire 2
vs. Florida Coastal @ Sat 4pm, Park 5
vs. Penn State Paintiffs @ Sat 9pm, Park 6

Division: Co-Rec
Captains: "None -- We're a team in the truest sense of the word."
Team Colors: Columbia Blue
Team Mascot: "The Lion from Lion's Head Tavern (conveniently, Columbia's mascot is also a lion"
Team Beer: "Whisky Drink, Vodka Drink, Lager Drink, Cider Drink"
Team Song: "Tubthumping" - Chumbawamba
Distance to Charlottesville, VA: 351 Miles
Roster: "A scrappy group of grizzled 3Ls who are hoping to support their softball habit with a little drinking.  Wait a minute -- strike that, reverse it."
Star Players: "We have two stars: Caitlin McCusker and CJ Perry.  Caitlin derives her power from her uncanny ability to actually show up and play softball once in a while.  CJ, on the other hand, is a pure athlete of the highest order.  She could be an Olympic curler, and we've never seen her with a broom in her hand."
Law Review Nerds: "More than we'd care to admit."
Team's History: "We've got a few veterans mixed in with a lot of first-timers who apparently have taken until now to realize that law school is (or should be) a three-year excuse to drink and play softball."
Practice Regimen: "Practice?  Frequency?  Intensity?  None of these words describe anything about our approach to softball.  We basically show up at UVA for the t-shirt and the nice weather."
Want to Play Against: "Teams that know how to have a good time, and/or any team with fewer than the minimum number of players required to participate."
DON'T Want to Play Against: "Everyone else."
Favorite Thing About the Tournament: "It's nothing like the rest of law school."
The Tournament Would Be Better If: "...drinking were permitted during games."
Anything Else?: "Scott Eisman is a first-class douche bag."
Analysts' Take: It sounds like these 3Ls will be entering the weekend with the right attitude.  We're not sure whether curling prowess translates at all into softball skill, but if these seniors have really been pent up in the Law Review offices for the last few years, we're guessing they're now going to be strong out of the gate.
