Dear Sections, 

You have spent the last two months of your first year at UVA Law not learning "the law" or getting used to cold calls, but training for the biggest and most important day of your year: the 1L Tournament. The 2009-2010 1L Tournament, sponsored by Patton Boggs LLP and presented by NGSL, will now be held on Saturday, October 31, 2009. 

Every section is expected to play. The Tournament is a single elimination bracket, seeded based upon your performance thus far in the regular season. Note that the winner of the Dandelion Parade (Section I) automatically is seeded in first place. Games will begin at 8:00 am at both Copeley Field and The Park Field #6, and the championship game will take place at 3:30 pm at Copeley.

    11.  Gunners (1-4)
    12.  L Diablo (1-4)

For your enjoyment, we will be serving a BBQ lunch from Anderson's at 11:00 and providing a keg of America's finest brews throughout the day at Copeley. There will also be plenty of non-alcoholic beverages and snacks available. The winners of the tournament will receive not only championship t-shirts but also eternal glory: the winning section will be memorialized on the 1L Tournament plaque, to be displayed prominently in the Law School.
